How do we measure success? Firstly, we consider every student who is out of bed, off the streets and in the caring educational environment of Meled a total success. Meled views the main achievements of our students in the areas of personal development, emotional maturation and the ability to cope with life. As an academic institution, we measure the educational development of our students qualitatively and quantitatively on a per student basis. Each student progresses at Meled according to their individual abilities. It is our task to help them achieve their potential. * If a student who was absent from school for many years graduates from the twelfth grade - we have succeeded! *If a student who dropped out of high school gets back in the groove and takes the rigorous Israeli high school matriculation exams - we have succeeded! *If the I.D.F. or National Service institutions denied a youth from entering national service because of anti-social behavior, and after graduating Meled the youth is ready to serve his or her country - we have succeeded! Since 2004: - 128 students graduated Meled with a certificate of completing 12 years of study. - 98 students passed between 6-16 units of their matriculation exams (20 units is full matriculation) - 35 students received certificates of full matriculation - 106 students went on to serve in the I.D.F., National Service or were accepted to educational programs affiliated with the I.D.F. (Hesder or Mechinot). Numbers do not include the current school year.
